Black Widow’s Taskmaster failed to Impress the Marvel Fans
In the first official Black Widow trailer,
we got to see the faces of most upcoming characters in the Black Widow movie.
The new solo film will definitely increase the respect and love for the MCU
Black Widow character. After the trailer released, many fans are excited to
watch the movie as soon as possible, but a few Marvel fans didn’t like the
Taskmaster appearance in the trailer.
The Taskmaster shot was barely one or two seconds longer,
but it was a bit disappointing. All Marvel fans were waiting to see Taskmaster
appearance in the Black Widow trailer, and they were expecting it to look
similar to the comic version. However, MCU changed almost every part of
Taskmaster’s costume, and he was not even close to looking like a powerful
villain. In the Marvel comics, Taskmaster is a serious villain who looks unique
and deadly as he possesses extraordinary powers and skills.
In the Black Widow trailer, Taskmaster is not even looking
close to the actual Taskmaster of the Marvel comics. In the trailer, he is
looking very similar to the fictional superhero Snake Eyes. Marvel should have
worked harder on the Taskmaster’s costume and looks since he is looking like an
ordinary armored soldier.
A few months back, Marvel released concept art for
Taskmaster in which he was looking dangerous and deadly. The concept art was
impressive enough to fulfill the Marvel fan’s expectations as he was looking
more like his comic counterpart in that poster Black Widow poster. However, when
we got a glimpse of Taskmaster in the trailer, it didn’t feel impressive or
cool enough. The comic version has heavier armor with an orange and dark blue
combination along with a deadly energy sword.
In the upcoming movie, it is clear that the character has
received many changes in physical appearances, such as a pale costume and weak
design when compared with the heavy-duty costumes in comics. Even though the
energy sword is missing in the trailer, he may use it in the film.
The trailer version of the Taskmaster is hard to identify as
the Taskmaster unless someone mentions it. Did you recognize him in the first
glimpse?
There will be a solid reason behind changing the look and
costume of MCU Taskmaster. One reason can be that the skull mask could have
been too common for the character, and Marvel wanted to give the audience a
unique look. Moreover, the MCU version might be focused on the real things, and
the costume chosen in the Black Widow movie looks much real and dependent on
technology.
